Maria requested a desk that would be a statement piece in her home, something that she could pass on to her daughter one day. It needed to be practical as well as beautiful. Most of her bills were carried out with pen and paper, she wanted to keep her desktop neat while still having access to what she needed.
A statement desk which draws the eyes along soft curves while serving as a practical workspace. Featuring a handy stow away location for pens in the centre of the desk and a neat printer drawer keeping the dust collecting printer out of sight. It was important to keep cables neat, so a recess was designed for the rear of the desk to allow cables to run out of sight. Solid knurled brass handles open 3 handcut slimline dovetail drawers to file paperwork and current bills while a large drawer at the base to the right side allows for storage of a portable file box.
